The glass system
Mezzo windows use insulated double-pane glass with a Low-E coating that reflects heat, argon gas between the panes, and a warm-edge spacer that helps reduce condensation. That combination keeps heat inside in the winter and blocks solar heat in the summer. Upgraded glass packages are available in our Preferred and Elite packages.
The foam-insulated frame
The Mezzo frame is built with multiple internal chambers, and foam insulation in the frame adds another layer of protection against heat loss. The frame is often where cheap windows leak energy, even when the glass is good.
